Have your say on the design for Yan Yean Road Upgrade - Stage 2
As part of the Environment Effects Statement (EES) process, we’ve been working to improve the design for Yan Yean Road Upgrade – Stage 2. The design has been updated based on feedback received from the community and the results of technical investigations including ecological, social and transport impact assessments. The results from these studies will be available as part of the EES documentation that will be on exhibition later this year.
We’ve developed new design options for the Bridge Inn Road intersection that build around the two River Red Gums. We want your feedback about the design options being considered.
We’re considering upgrading the Jorgensen Avenue intersection with traffic lights as an alternative to a roundabout. We want to know what you think about both of these design options.
As a direct result of community feedback, the U-turn bays near Youngs Road have been replaced with a new roundabout at the Youngs Road intersection.
We’re continuing to investigate and develop a design for the section of Yan Yean Road between Laurie Street and Bannons Lane that balances the needs and safety of the community while minimising environmental and land impacts.
View and have your say online about the design options being considered. Tell us what you value most about the look and feel of your local area. Your feedback will help shape the landscape strategy being developed for the project.
You can also join live Webinars hosted by project team, where you can learn more about the project and ask questions.

You can provide your feedback from Friday 1 May to Sunday 24 May.
When the EES documentation goes on public exhibition in August this year, the community will have another chance to have their say and make submissions for consideration by an independent panel appointed by the Minister for Planning. The independent panel will advise the Minister for Planning on the approval for the project. The exhibition of the EES document will be advertised so everyone can have their say.
