7.5 km of new lanes open on Princes Highway East

18 December, 2018Princes Highway East - Traralgon to Sale

Two newly duplicated sections of the Princes Highway are now open to traffic at Traralgon East and Nambrok.

A key feature of these upgraded sections of the Highway are two new bridges over Sheepwash Creek, spanning more than 30 metres each.

A new intersection at Maffra-Rosedale Road was also built to allow drivers to safely turn on and off the Princes Highway.

The 7.5km of extra lanes will bring immediate safety improvements to the 10,000-15,000 vehicles who rely on this important stretch of the Princes Highway every day.

Construction started on these sections in early 2017, as part of the 31km duplication of the Princes Highway between Traralgon and Sale.

These are the final two of nine sections to be completed as part of the $260 million investment jointly funded by the Australian and Victorian Governments.
