We’re adding extra lanes on Craigieburn Road between Hume Highway and Mickleham Road as well as upgrading intersections and building better walking, cycling and public transport connections.
Site investigations starting Jan 2021
Between January and March 2021, we’ll start early site investigations. We’ll be locating underground utility services and assessing road and ground conditions to determine the final project design.
Construction for the Craigieburn Road Upgrade is expected to take place in the second half of 2021.
What can you expect?
You may experience some minor noise as we dig small holes in the ground to take soil samples and find the exact location of water, gas, electricity, telephone and internet services.
To keep our workers and community safe we may need to reduce speed limits and close a lane while we work. Please follow the direction of signs and traffic controllers.
Most works will happen from Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm, and on Saturdays between 7am and 1pm. Sometimes we may need to work at night or on weekends, when there’s less traffic on the roads.
If nightworks are required, we’ll provide advance notice to residents and businesses who may be affected.
Health and safety
Work will be conducted safely and in accordance with COVID-19 protocols. For more information and advice about the coronavirus (COVID-19), please visit coronavirus.vic.gov.au.
