We’re upgrading Narre Warren North Road between Fox Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road to improve safety and travel times.
The Victorian Government is investing $38.3 million to upgrade Narre Warren North Road between Fox Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road.
The project will:
- add an extra lane in each direction on Narre Warren North Road between Fox Road and Belgrave-Hallam Road
- upgrade the Heatherton Road and Ernst Wanke Road intersections
- investigate new safety treatments for the Memorial Drive and Crawley Road intersection.
We will be carrying out visual inspections along Narre Warren North Road between November and December 2019 to get a better understanding of the area. This information will help shape the initial design and ensure we minimise impacts where possible.
These inspections will be carried out in publicly accessible areas and will not cause any disruption to traffic along Narre Warren North Road.
Once complete, the new lanes will double capacity and create a better travel experience on this key north-south link in Melbourne’s south east.
These works will build on the $4 billion investment into Melbourne’s arterial road network which includes widening of the Narre Warren-Cranbourne Road between Thompsons Road and the South Gippsland Highway.
When both projects are complete, the communities of Narre Warren and Cranbourne will be connected by four lanes all the way from Heatherton Road to South Gippsland Highway.
